Quality Brick and Stone Restoration is an unparalleled leader in stonework in North Carolina. We are dedicated to producing and restoring stone and stone veneer work in central North Carolina.
Generally speaking, stone veneer is a thin layer of any stone used as decorative facing material that is not meant to be load bearing. Done well, it could be like some of the original marble cladding on the Roman Colosseum. However, installation back here in North Carolina has not always been done to that standard. Stone veneer, usually a concrete-based manufactured cast product, when improperly installed, can lead to leaks, moisture damage, or veneer falling falling from a building.
We are professionally experienced in almost every masonry material: brick, cast stone, concrete, granite, limestone, marble, sandstone, etc. Owner Robert Mihaly has created stone works for some of the most prominent figures, homes, businesses and institutions in North Carolina.
We fix exterior stone veneer siding problems such as loose stones. A commonly seen problem is leaks and interior moisture damage caused by ineffective caulking. Sometimes fans, vents, doorways and/or windows have mortar or masonry flush against dissimilar materials rather than a sufficient gap left between the masonry and other material. If an adequate gap is not left for caulking, then these areas can suffer from water infiltration.
Quality Brick and Stone Restoration can assess and restore failing veneer stone.
